Phase 1

So the initial strategy is as follows, the project has been split into two phases:

Phase 1:

Ends March 31st

Objectives :Test and implement a control system on Black Widow capable of autonomous takeoff, landing and hovering in air.

This seems like a reasonable target, considering the time that we have left.

But there's still a lot of work which has to be done before that.

1. Decisions on the airframe, motors, propellors, batteries.

2. The avionics system is pretty much decided, as well as a lot of the code (will discuss in a later post).

3. Interface with the brushless dc motors.

4. The math modelling and the control system design and simulation.

5. The ground station programming.

6. The power system design & fabrication.

7. Integration of the above aspects.

Hopefully, we should be done with this much by mid-Feb, leaving us around a month for testing.

Phase 2 planning will be carried out at the end of Phase 1.
